Real Estate Summer Interns are responsible for performing a wide range of ad-hoc analytical duties associated with operating a large and growing portfolio of industrial properties. This position is based out of Link’s office in Irvine, CA.
Our 2021 summer full-time internship program will begin in June 2021 and last at least 10 weeks. To be eligible, you must be a college student during the time of the internship program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with company-wide asset management and investment initiatives
Perform various analyses including comparative lease analysis, lease restructure analysis, sale/leaseback analysis, and cash flow analyses related to underwriting of potential acquisitions
Participate in the annual budget and quarterly reforecast process
Assist with the preparation of presentations to the senior management team, as well as, preparing quarterly board presentations
Review diligence materials and prepare closing statements
Craft investment memoranda and other documentation to be shared with investment committee
Conduct market research including rent and sales comparison research
Perform special ad-hoc projects and analyses as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Current junior or senior undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution
Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, real estate, economics, mathematics, business, or related field
Strong interest in commercial real estate asset management and investment (no formal experience required)
Basic understanding of real estate investment and financing processes including, but not limited to, market analysis, financial analysis, property valuation and capital markets
Minimum GPA of 3.5
Exceptional knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills since interaction with senior level management will be required
Working knowledge of Argus
