POSITION SUMMARY:

This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests. This opportunity is perfect for students interested in a real estate career and to learn the commercial real estate industry from the ground up and interact with top real estate executives. The summer internship will consist of a rotational focus between Capital Markets, Financial Modeling, Development & Proforma Analysis and Construction beginning in June 2021 and ending at the end of August.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gain exposure to senior executives and build a valuable network of peers, managers, and leaders across the company.
Work on assigned project and initiatives to improve our financial and portfolio performance; Create discounted cash flow models used to analyze returns for potential acquisitions.
Build proforma models for potential built-to-suit or speculative development projects.
Conduct historical and prospective trend and market analysis.
Participate in property tours and internal team, customer and broker meetings.
Prepare visuals and asset maps for presentations and investment memos.
Work with investment officers on LOIs, RFPs and transaction pipeline activity reports.
Develop an understanding of the loan origination process, including underwriting and closing.
Perform financial statement reviews as part annual portfolio management.
Assisting with rent rolls, demographics, tenant profiles, etc.
Preparing and writing market research.
Obtaining and analyzing market information and statistics.
Assist in the due diligence process.
Review and summarize leases (lease abstracting).
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Pursuing a BA/BS degree with estimated completion of December 2021 or Summer 2022
Strong analytical and writing skills.
