ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Rotational Development Analysts are hired into the Chicago, New York and/or Florida offices for an 18-month immersive experience within Blackstone’s real estate portfolio companies. The participating companies span a variety of sectors, including industrial, hotel, retail, multi-family, senior housing, and corporate services. 

Analysts will gain unique and varied experience as they complete six-month assignments within 3 different companies, learning and honing fundamentals such as market research, forecasting, analysis and financial reporting.  Analysts will also have the opportunity to network with professionals and leaders through organized social and training events.  As a member of our rotational program, you will obtain a diverse set of experiences and play an integral role in a variety of projects that directly impact the business. 

The rotational financial analyst development program will begin June 2021 and last through December 2022.  Upon completing the rotation, analysts may apply for open roles within any one of the participating companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct initial research on potential investments

  • Assist with preparing financial reports related to budgeting, forecasting and financial results

  • Assist underwriting with various types of transactions including dispositions, major leasing, redevelopments, debt financings and joint ventures

  • Conduct initial long-term asset strategy analysis

  • Retrieve and analyze data from several research, financial and industry-specific systems

  • Perform special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current senior undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution (graduating 2021)

  • Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, economics, business and/or real estate fields

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

  • Strong knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Remarkable organization and communication skills with an ability to work through complex issues with thoughtful solutions

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good judgment, positive attitude, and willingness to learn

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Communicates and collaborates in an open, honest, and transparent manner

  • Able to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working with Argus or Oracle software
