Timbers Resorts is actively pursuing distressed, luxury hotel acquisition and ground-up development opportunities primarily throughout North America and the Caribbean.


YOU ARE:

The successful candidate will be an intelligent and driven “go-getter” with a high-level of attention to detail and demonstrable experience in real estate investment and development, ideally with an emphasis on hospitality assets and / or luxury condominium development.  


SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will work with deal team leaders to support the acquisition, development and financing efforts of the company as well as support the asset management of the portfolio. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acquisitions: Responsible for the financial analysis of all prospective acquisitions and development opportunities. Prepare accurate, thorough cash flow forecasts using Microsoft Excel. Modify and update proprietary discounted cash flow valuation models. Assist in the preparation of investment memos for the investment committee.

  • Asset Management: Update financial models for assets in the portfolio on an on-going basis. Conduct on-going analyses to support decision making related to the business plan of each investment (capital projects, financing, disposition, real estate sales, change orders, etc.). Communicate regularly with property / project management teams and review monthly property reports submitted for each asset.

  • Due Diligence: Support transaction due diligence and closing processes for acquisitions and dispositions. Respond to requests from the investment committee, deal team leaders, investors, brokers, lenders and the buyer or seller.

  • Market Research: Perform market research and competitive analyses for prospective luxury resort acquisitions and residential development projects.

Skills / Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance (Cumulative GPA: 3.5+).

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.

  • Ability to interpret and summarize information in a clear and concise manner with an ultra-high level of attention to detail.
