Role Description: 


PJT Park Hill is seeking an individual with strong analytical and writing skills, who takes initiative, has great attention to detail, works well under pressure, and has the ability to work well both independently and within teams in a boutique investment advisory firm.


PJT Park Hill Real Estate offers analysts the chance to engage directly in the fund formation and capital raising process for some of the best real estate firms worldwide. The private placement process uniquely develops both the quantitative and qualitative skills required at more advanced levels across the financial spectrum.


Candidates for the position should possess knowledge of and/or interest in the alternative asset industry - specifically real estate - as well as 0-3 years prior experience. Ideal candidates have a background in private placements, investment banking, alternative asset investor relations or similar fields although not required. The job requires management of multiple projects often under time constraints / deadlines, interaction and constant communication with clients, and great attention to detail.


Responsibilities:


Primary responsibilities include:


  • Drafting marketing materials, including offering memoranda and presentations

  • Coordinating investor meetings and responding to due diligence requests

  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis of managers’ track record of investments

  • Performing financial modeling and analysis for property level transactions using company financials and rent rolls


PJT Park Hill Analysts are exposed to all elements of a private placement transaction and play a critical role throughout the engagement decision and marketing process. The PJT Park Hill Analysts have significant interaction not only with senior principals at PJT Park Hill, but also with clients and investors. As a result, PJT Park Hill Analysts develop a deep understanding of the real estate private equity marketplace.


Additional responsibilities include assisting the Partners in various research projects and the sourcing, diligence and origination of new mandates. The Analyst will also manage and maintain external materials, including marketing/pitch materials, fund offering booklets and executive presentations for the senior partners of PJT.


Qualifications:


PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.


  • Superior academic achievement

  • Degrees in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred, but not required

  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial modeling and leveraged buyout analysis

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time

  • A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong work ethic; genuine passion for excellence; results-oriented

  • Personal and professional integrity of the highest order

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
