Financial Analysts Interns are responsible for performing a wide range of ad-hoc analytical duties associated with operating a large and growing portfolio of industrial properties. This position is based out of Link’s office in Irvine, CA.

 

Link Industrial Properties is Blackstone’s US industrial real estate operating platform. Link currently manages a national portfolio of high-quality, well-located industrial assets totaling over 400 million square feet throughout the U.S.

 

Our 2021 spring part-time internship program will begin January 2021 and last through May 2021. To be eligible, you must be a college student during the time of the internship program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with company-wide asset management and investment initiatives

  • Perform various analyses including comparative lease analysis, lease restructure analysis, sale/leaseback analysis, and cash flow analyses related to underwriting of potential acquisitions

  • Participate in the annual budget and quarterly reforecast process

  • Assist with the preparation of presentations to the senior management team, as well as, preparing quarterly board presentations

  • Review diligence materials and prepare closing statements

  • Craft investment memoranda and other documentation to be shared with investment committee

  • Conduct market research including rent and sales comparison research

  • Perform special ad-hoc projects and analyses as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current junior or senior undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution

  • Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, real estate, economics, mathematics, business, or related field

  • Strong interest in commercial real estate asset management and investment (no formal experience required)

  • Basic understanding of real estate investment and financing processes including, but not limited to, market analysis, financial analysis, property valuation and capital markets

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Exceptional knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills since interaction with senior level management will be required

  • Working knowledge of Argus

  • Ability to work in Irvine, CA in a part-time capacity during the spring semester, beginning in January 2021.
