Job Description

Our Chicago office is in search for an entry level Equity Analyst who will support the Public Securities Portfolio team in generating investment ideas and monitoring developments in the real estate securities markets.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is highly analytical, collaborative and has a strong interest in publicly traded securities and real estate.

The responsibilities of an entry level Equity Analyst include, but are not limited to:



  • Company Analysis: Providing detailed company and financial analysis of publicly traded real estate companies and property markets

  • Real Estate Analysis: Developing in-depth industry knowledge in assigned property sectors

  • Security Screening and Valuation Tools: Run, maintain, and continually enhance proprietary security screening and valuation tools

  • Capital Markets: Track capital markets for real estate securities, including benchmarks, equity offerings, fund flows, and other issues broadly affecting these markets

  • Additionally, the Portfolio Analyst will undertake quantitative research projects relating to investment process, product development, and other areas which will drive improvements in investment performance and increases in assets under management

Qualifications

  • 0-2 year of experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Major in Finance, Real Estate or related field preferred

  • Excellent communicator with strong writing skills

  • Well-organized, detail oriented and deadline driven

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and handle ambiguity

  • Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate with a high degree of diligence and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point
